Mark
Laurnoff – "Palmetto" Cast Interview 8/25/07
Mark
plays "Ryan Miller" on Palmetto
1) What was the attraction of doing this series?
Several things, first off I just love acting. On top of that it was a chance
to work with Chris Morgan again whom I have a great deal of confidence in. I
knew that the story would be good and the quality would be second to none.
2) What makes PALMETTO different from any other teen drama you’ve seen?
Honestly, I couldn’t tell you, I don’t watch teen dramas. I guess the closest
thing to that I watch would be Saved By The Bell and in that case I would say
they are nothing alike.
3) What are the challenges of playing a character coming from a small
town?
I don’t think that was that hard for me, I've always lived in smaller towns
and I guess you could say I have an affinity for them.
4) Without giving too much away, can you talk about your character?
Well I don’t think I'm going to be winning over a whole lot of fans that’s
for sure, however, I'll say it's always more fun to be bad. Hopefully though
when it's all said and done people will see that things are not always as they
seem.
5) How do you prepare for your scenes? What do you do to get “into
character?”
I don’t know actually, I don't think I have anything in particular that I do?
I try to know my lines I guess?
6) Without giving too much away, what has been your favorite scene
to shoot?
We haven’t shot it yet. It keeps getting pushed back for some "klutzy"
reason or another, but if the actual scene goes as good as the rehearsal went,
peoples jaws are going to drop.
7) Is there any advice, wisdom, or comments your character would like
to give the fans?
Keep your eyes on me, in addition to stunning good looks, I'm going to give
you one wild ride.
